He was born Jan. 5, 1947, in Dexter, son of Carleton Norris Sr. and Catherine Benner Norris.Richard worked in the woods all his life, starting at age 13 until he retired. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed puttering around the yard. Richard was known as a good mechanic, if it had an engine he could fix it. He was a very generous man and wasnt afraid to tell it like it is.He is survived by his wife, Sherrill Norris of Lincoln; his children, Beth and Chris Cope of Dresden Mills, Richard DJ Norris Jr. and Robin Norris of Mattawamkeag, Shannon and Rick Dill, Candee and Jamie Goodine, and Michelle Norris and Josh Stanley, all of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, Bobbi-Jo Norris, Ch
