Should accessories be minimal with sequence sarees?

I am intending to wear a Sequence Saree at an upcoming party and would appreciate your comments on this. Is it comfortable enough to wear during long events? Should other accessories be kept minimal in order to complement the sequins? Would anyone with recent experiences on Sequence Sarees care to share?
