Megalis - Uses, Dosage & Side Effects

A medication called Megalis is used to treat sexual diseases such as erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hypertrophy, which is an enlarged prostate. This medication comes in tablet form. Megalis functions by assisting in the relaxation of the smooth muscles found both within and outside of our blood vessels. This helps to increase blood flow in certain areas of the body, such as the male genital area.

Megalis accomplishes this by preventing the body's Phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE5) enzyme from functioning. PDE5 inhibitors cause blood vessels to relax by blocking the activity of a certain enzyme that is found inside the blood vessels. Consequently, blood pressure is lowered and more blood flows through the blood vessels.
